I am Dipasha rathod, a student pursuing urban designing from cept university. The aim to do something for the betterment and be a changemaker lead me to do this with my interests in art and design acting as a catalyst. I would like to contribute my best work and efforts. My role in the studio was to work upon the smaller parts of the larger urban topics. I designed the service infrastructure for the community re-settlement which included smaller constructive urban devices
The space used for living and settlements are un-functionable without the presence of public service infrastructure qualities in the locality. Any infrastructural thing that behave as a catalyst for the betterment and welfare of locality and community in different ways can be termed as service infrastructure. For example, electricity that is the most important thing and has become a need, waste management to maintain a safe and hygienic community, black water management for hygiene, telephone lines for people’s network and public toilets that is important to the city life. A city seems unimaginable without such qualities. Hence, the public service infrastructure is crucial in the making of the city.

Internet hub / उत्कर्षस्थल- Internet nowadays is largely used and has become a necessity of urban and rural life. By promoting the use of the internet as a source to grow and attain the maximum possible outreach with the world. Especially, In the current times of Covid everything shifted online but the slums left with no option to learn and grow. The structure is designed with the properties of flexibility and transformation. The structure is designed to help community education and public engagement to bring awareness. The transformable structure of the internet hub breathes a possibility of different usages that might emerge according to the needs of the settlement.
Toilet / प्रयोग- The lack of proper sanitation facilities and toilets in the transit settlement leads to diseases and infections. This has been the case in a lot of areas which worsens the medical complications of the people living. The toilet is designed to provide toilet facilities with an addition of disabled toilet facilities as well. Other than the toilet the structure is also attached with drinking water faucets and is surrounded by the greenery of the plaza. It is designed to help public health and promote hygiene.
